“BPM 37093” terletak di Centaurus, jaraknya dari bumi sekitar 50 tahun cahaya, ia adalah sebuah bintang cebol putih, hasil dari bintang tetap kecil yang menuju ke masa akhir evolusi, dan intinya adalah karbonkristal (batu permata) yang berdensitas eksra tinggi, bagian luar diselimuti dengan lapisan hidrogen dan helium. Sehari menjelang Hari Valentine pada 2 tahun silam, ilmuwan asal Amerika Serikat Micter Kaerf, Monger Marry dari Universitas Combridge, Inggris, dan ilmuwan asal Brasil yakni Kannan mengumumkan bahwa mereka telah menemukan bintang “BPM 37093”, ketika itu Micter dengan nada canda mengatakan : “Meskipun harta kekayaan Sang Raja Komputer Bill Gates plus harta Donald Trump digabung juga tidak akan sanggup membelinya.”

Selama 40 tahun ini, astronom selalu beranggapan bahwa inti bintang cebol putih akan mengkristalisasi seiring dengan turunnya suhu, namun bukti yang akurat semuanya sulit diamati. Micter menghitung intinya memang sudah mengkristal melalui getaran pulsasi “BPM 37093”-nya bintang cebol putih. 5 miliar tahun kemudian, matahari kita juga akan berubah menjadi sebuah bintang cebol putih, dan ditambah lagi dengan beberapa masa, maka yang tampak di pusat tata surya kita saat ini hanya berupa sebuah batu permata raksasa.
